End your day with a splash in the natural volcanic rock pools – your pup will love it just as much as you do.
SHOLEO TIP: Stick to the more remote pools to respect other swimmers, and always bring a lead, harness, and poop bags.
2. Canine Treks in the Highs of Gran Canaria
The upper reaches of Gran Canaria are packed with scenic trails your dog will absolutely love. From the Roque Nublo hike to routes like Cruz de Tejeda to Artenara, and chilled picnic zones like Llanos de la Pez – there’s no better way to experience the island’s wild beauty with your furry mate.

3. Park-Hopping in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
Just minutes from our flats in Las Palmas, you’ll find plenty of green spaces to explore with your dog. Public parks like Parque Romano, San Telmo, Santa Catalina, Las Rehoyas, Doramas, and La Paterna all have dog-friendly areas.
Plus, there are dedicated parks for dogs (pipicans) near your accommodation where your buddy can run wild!
SHOLEO TIP: Keep your dog on a lead in public areas, and if they’re a breed classed as potentially dangerous by the local council, don’t forget the muzzle too.
4. Beach Day at El Cabezo (Tenerife)
About 50 minutes from Sholeo Lodges Los Gigantes, in the buzzing surf town of El Médano, you’ll find El Cabezo,– a dog-friendly beach where you and your furry sidekick can enjoy the sea together.
